Sell at the counter without separating the till from the business.
Use cashier PIN access, barcode or product-button checkout, till quotes, split payments and customer credit controls. Enter measured weights, choose stock and return rules, print 57 mm or 80 mm slips and connect daily sales to accounting. POS Basic costs R400 per month with two users.

Point of Sale
Use cashier PIN access, barcode or product-button checkout, item and subtotal discounts, split payments, On Account sales, customer quotations and printed receipts while products, stock, attendance, returns and refunds remain connected to Accounting Pilot.
Fast checkout with the records behind it
Point of Sale now connects the till to the same product catalogue, stock position and reporting context used by the rest of Accounting Pilot.
What your team can do
- Monitor terminal connection, daily totals, recent sales and audit activity.
- Sign in or clock attendance using a cashier PIN, with fingerprint attendance available on supported devices.
- Synchronise products, stock and optional product images while sales remain safe when the internet is offline.
- Use Cash, Bank Card or Voucher together in a split payment and show the remaining amount before completing the sale.
- Keep receipts, returns, refunds, payouts, removed items and online or offline activity available for review.
- Accept direct Cash, Bank Card, EFT, Voucher or On Account checkout; Cash, Bank Card and Voucher can be combined in split payments.
- Record a payment against an unpaid customer invoice from the till when the internet is available.
- Create a customer quote from the cart; quotes do not take payment, open the cash drawer or reduce stock.
- Check the On Account portion against the customer credit limit before completing an online or split-payment sale.
- Print 57 mm or 80 mm thermal receipts with configurable copies and supported Windows or ESC/POS output.
- See the last online time and review daily item sales, transactions and till turnover with payment methods, discounts and refunds.
- Create POS-only users, request a terminal sync from the cloud and keep completed day-end history without clearing past sales.
- Review daily voided items and synchronised removals alongside the cashier and transaction trail.
- Enable sell-by-weight for eligible kg or g products and enter quantities to three decimal places with the touch keypad.
- Choose low-stock warnings and whether sales may exceed available tracked stock; each product can have its own alert threshold.
- Allow or disable returns and choose receipt-only, without-receipt-only or both; On Account returns require the original customer receipt.
- Print return slips and review the recorded refund method; card and EFT refunds are recorded here and completed through your payment provider.
- Use cloud invoices for serial-tracked sales; current desktop POS versions do not collect product serial numbers.
- POS Basic combines Basic accounting and inventory with Point of Sale at R400 per month, including two full users; additional full users cost R80 per month.
Fast checkout
Use barcode search, product buttons, cashier PIN access and large touch-friendly controls.
Connected inventory
Keep products, images, prices and stock aligned with Accounting Pilot.
Payments and receipts
Apply item or subtotal discounts, combine Cash, Bank Card and Voucher payments, print receipts and retain returns and refunds.
Quotes from the till
Create and print a customer quotation from the current cart without taking payment or deducting stock; the cloud confirms the quote number and expiry before printing.
Customer accounts
Choose a saved customer for an On Account sale; when it synchronises, Accounting Pilot creates the unpaid customer invoice. Record payments against an existing unpaid invoice while online, with customer credit limits checked before an account sale is completed.
Thermal printing
Choose 57 mm or 80 mm receipts, print one to five copies and use the Windows driver or supported ESC/POS bitmap output with optional auto-cut.
Sell by weight
Enter measured kilograms or grams on the touch keypad for eligible products; the confirmed weight determines the price, VAT and stock quantity.
Stock and return controls
Choose low-stock warnings, block sales above available tracked stock when required and set whether returns need the original receipt.
Check the terminal
Confirm connection status, till activity and the current daily totals.
Complete the sale
Select or scan products, apply permitted discounts and capture one payment method or an allowed split payment.
Review and report
